Candidate Statement

My vision is to steward library resources responsibly while expanding innovative, community-driven services.

Through transparency, collaboration, and public engagement, we will ensure our libraries remain safe, vital spaces where patrons of all ages and abilities can find safe havens for learning, connection, and opportunity. I will work to keep the library as an important community partner that incorporates new technology, fosters civic dialogue and involvement, and continues to offer diverse services, showcasing the library's role in community life. I am a firm believer in freedom of thought championed by public libraries.

I bring nearly 20 years of leadership experience as the current Chairman of the Grants Pass District 7 Parent Advisory Committee and Past President of both the Allen Dale Elementary PTA and the South Middle School PTSA. I also served on the Grants Pass District 7 Site Council from 2021-2022.

As a deep reader who is fair, calm, and just, I am committed to serve on the Josephine Community Library District Board with integrity and wisdom.

Endorsed by Libraries for Our Community PAC #14922.
